Students & Young Professionals
As a young person, you need to understand what some of your friends and family are going to say about your new venture. Some may love it. Some may think you're crazy because our parents, society, school, etc. have taught us to "go to school, get good grades, and get a good J.O.B." And so when we do something a little bit different, even though it's just our "side business," we may be met with some resistance. Here's the deal- if you want something different than what everyone else has is or is doing, you've got to do something different despite people who try to tell you that it won't work or that it's not a good idea for your future.
The reality is that especially as young people, we all have peer pressure. Pressure to fit in. And the drive to feel accepted by our peers. We also have the innate desire to please our parents. This is why when you start a new venture you need to have the blinders on, develop some thick skin, and really understand that the status quo isn't working for most people our age. If you stay the course with your new business, take action, and are coachable and teachable, your friends will be begging you to join down the road.
It's amazing how many young people go down the "old school" path of school, debt, job not in their field, challenge finding a job, and then are completely dissatisfied and often broke in their 30's. If you want something different, you've GOT to do something different.
Ask your sponsor or an upline leader about how best to handle some of the challenges, as well as the amazing opportunities of building this as a young person. We certainly have books, audios, and videos that we can recommend to help you understand how incredible an opportunity this is for folks our age.
